Six of his most important films will be screened. Viridiana on 12 December, Tristana on 13 December, El Ángel Exterminador (The Extreminating Angel) on 14 December and his three short films, Las Hurdes: Tierra Sin Pan (Land without Bread), Simón del Desierto (Simon of the Desert) and Un Chien Andalou will be screened on 15 December.
Buñuel, the father of surrealist cinema, is one of the most prominent filmmakers in the history of world cinema. He won several awards including the Cannes Golden Palm for his film Viridiana and the Venice Golden Lion for Belle du jour.
All screenings will take place at the Cinema Institute at 5 p.m.
