The funeral of the legendary film actress Hind Rostom took place midday Tuesday at Saida Zeinab Mosque in Cairo.
Rustom, who was known as ' the Marilyn Monroe of the East' died of a heart attack on Monday at the age of 82.
Rostom gained her fame playing romantic and seductive roles in Egyptian films, including those by Youssef Chanine and Atef El Tayeb , some of the country's most famous directors.
Rustom starred in over 70 Arabic-language movies before retiring from acting in 1979.
