Feature film Qudrat Ghayr Adiya (Out of the Ordinary) by Egyptian director Daoud Abdel-Sayed has won most of the major awards at the 64th edition of the Egyptian Catholic Centre Film Festival, which closed on Thursday.
The awards picked up by the drama include: best film, best script, best director, best director of photography for Marwan Saber, the best decor for Onsi Abu Sief, best editing for Mona Rabee, best supporting actress for Mariam Tamer.
The award for best actress was shared between Qudrat Ghayr Adiya's Naglaa Badr, and Salwa Khattab in Bab El-Wadaa (The Gate of Departure).
Best soundtrack went to both Rageh Daoud for Qudrat Ghayr Adiya and Bab El Wadaa.
Qudrat Ghayr Adiya premiered at the Dubai International Film Festival in December 2014, and was released in Egypt in December 2015. The film stars Khaled Abol Naga, Naglaa Badr, Hassan Kamy, Ahmed Kamal, and Mariam Tamer.
