The film, 18 Days shows various takes on Egypt's 18 day revolt that ousted president Mubarak, will debut cinemas in France 7 September

18 Days, the film that revolves around the 18-day uprising from 25 January until the day president Mubarak was toppled, will be out in cinemas in France today, Wednesday 8 September.

The film is actually comprised of 10 shorts, each expressing the uprising from a different perspective. Filmmakers involved in the project include Youssry Nasrallah, Kamla Abou Zikry, Ahmed Abdallah, Sherif El Bendary and Mariam Abou Ouf.

18 Days isn't out in in Egyptian cinemas yet, although it was screened at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

Controversy surrounded the film when it was screened in Cannes because two of the filmmakers participated in Egypt's 2005 presidential campaign, which makes the suspect for political bias.
