Numerous feature and short films will be screened within the 12th edition of the festival that takes place in Minnesota's Minneapolis and St Paul

Running between the 27 September and 1 October, the Twin Cities Arab Festival presents a selection of narrative, documentary, and short films from Egypt and other Arab countries to Minnesota audiences.

Egypt participates with four entries: Withered Green (Akhdar Yabes) directed by Mohammed Hammad, Les Petits Chats by Sherif Nakhla, The Preacher (Mawlana) by Magdy Ahmed Ali, and We Have Never Been Kids (Abadan Lam Nakon Atfalan) by Mahmood Soliman.

Founded in 2003, the Arab Film Festival has featured numerous local debuts of independent narrative and documentary features and short films from more than fifteen Arab countries.

"The festival seeks to provide Arab American and Arab film artists support and exposure, build the local Arab American community, and present to the general public the diverse ways in which Arabs view themselves and the world they live in through the powerful and accessible medium of film," the festival organisers explain on their website.
