Tahrir 2011

Tahrir 2011: The Good, The Bad and The Politician, a documentary examining different aspects of the 18-days that toppled president Hosni Mubarak, will be released in cinemas nationwide on Wednesday.

The film, directed by Tamer Ezzat, Ayten Amin, and Amr Salama, sheds light on the revolutionaries, the police force and the rise to power of Mubarak.

Each of the three sections is separate with its own voice and style, but they complement each other to give a rounded outlook on the 18-day uprising.

Tahrir 2011 has already been screened at a number of international film festivals, including the 68th Venice Film Festival (August/September 2011), the 36th Toronto International Film Festival (September), and the Abu Dhabi Film Festival (October).
