Egyptian film director Magy Anwar, founder of the Faten Hamama Film Festival, announced a new cooperation between the festival and the Tunisian Eldalia Film Festival in the city of Grombalia.
According to the agreement, Eldalia will screen this year's winners of Faten Hamama, which will be held in May.
According to Al-Ahram Arabic, Anwar also announced her plans to cooperate with different international exhibitions in coming years in an effort to promote the films of young Egyptian directors to an international audience.
The Faten Hamama Film Festival was launched in 2015 and screens documentaries, feature and short films by both Egyptian and international filmmakers.
The annual festival honors the name of Egyptian cinema's golden-age starlet Faten Hamama.
This year's edition will run between 2 and 7 May at the Hadara Theatre on the Cairo Opera House grounds.
