The Tahrir Cultural Center of the American University in Cairo (AUC) is hosting the screening of film 'Kilo 64' at the Ewart Hall on Wednesday 12 June.

The screening will be followed by with the film director Amir El -Shenawy, hosted by director Amr Salama.

'Kilo 64' is about the journey of an ambitious pharmacy graduate who shifts his career and starts a farming business at Kilo 64 off Cairo-Alexandria desert road. Moved by the spirit of the January 25th Revolution, Wael El-Shenawy, 24, starts an agriculture startup with the aim to make a social impact, but not everything goes as planned.

AS the filmmakers describes, 'Kilo 64', filmed over two years, is a tale of two generations as it follows the journey of the young entrepreneur who's trying to revive his father’s dream, who made the same attempt 20 years ago. A simple personal story that tells a lot about what happened in Egypt for decades.
