On Wednesday, starting at 12:30 pm outside of the School of Science and Engineering at the New Cairo Campus of the American University in Cairo, students organised a new screening of Kazeboon (Liars), a programme that has been showing around the country as a pro-revolution form of counter media. It featured videos showing the security forces’ brutality towards protesters as well as interviews with medical volunteers and interviews with injured citizens.

The event was organised by members of the student union along with other students. It was attended by hundreds of students and faculty members.

AUC students and faculty lost Omar Mohsen, a student at the university, to the recent Port Said Stadium massacre, where over seventy people were killed and hundreds injured. Many around the country blame the security forces for not securing the stadium.

Tomorrow, 9 February, they are hosting another screening on campus at 1:00 pm.
