Celebrating the 71st anniversary of the Universal Declaration Of Human Rights, the Embassy of the Netherlands in Egypt and with the Embassy of Switzerland in Egypt will hold two days, 17 and 18 December, of film screenings at Cairo's Zawya.
The films screened include Eldorado, a film by Markus Imhoof, winner of the Amnesty International Award at Berlin Film Festival in 2018, screened on 17 December, followed by Layla M. by Mijke de Jong, nominated for Best Feature Film at the Chicago International Film Festival, and winner of the Best Actress Award and Best Supporting Actor Award at the Netherlands Film Festival, screened on 18 December.
Both films have English and Arabic subtitles and will be followed by an open discussion with the audience.
