Egyptian director Tamer Mohsen launched his official website last month. The website is bilingual, in both English and Arabic.

The website features Mohsen's biography and presents a large variety of his works, providing videos and photos from the films, television series and ads he directed as well as a selection of photos of behind-the-scene glimpses.

In addition, Mohsen also shares press articles about his work and critical reviews.

According to Mohsen's biography on the website, he began his career in arts by writing and directing a play titled Marionnette, which won the award for Best Play at the 4th Free Theater Festival. He also worked as an assistant set designer on the late director Youssef Chahine's film Al-Mohager (1994) and Al-Maseer (1997).

He soon shifted to film, and directed a few documentaries, including The Whale Shark Visit (2009), Political Crime: Assassination of Sadat (2008), Saad Zaghloul- The Leader and His Shadow (2007) as well as short film To Sleep Peacefully till 7am (2002).

Amongst Mohsen’s more recent well-known works is TV drama series Bedoun Zekr Asmaa (Without Mentioning Names, 2013), which was his first work for the small screen and garnered wide audience and critical acclaim.

Another of his notable works is 2016 TV series Taht El-Saytara (Under Control), written by Mariam Naoum and starring Nelly Karim, Dhaffer Abdeen, Hany Adel, Ahmed Wafik, Jihan Fadel and Mohamed Farrag. The series garnered massive support from audiences because of its serious and unconventional theme as it dealt with the idea of addiction that is not only limited to drugs.

He also directed the TV series Haza Al-Masaa, which aired during the Ramadan 2017 season, surpassing the success of his other TV series as it exposes the perils of the new technology.

Mohsen won several awards for this series, including Best Series, Director, and Screenplay at the Cinema Syndicate Awards for Ramadan Dramas 2017. His most recent work is the previously mentioned upcoming TV series.

He has taken part in numerous activities, most notably his participation as a jury member in the iRead Screenplay Competition, held at the 41st Cairo International Film Festival.

Though Mohsen revealed he is currently working on a new television series, he refrained from providing more details.
