Programme: Japanese Film Week kicks off at Cairo Opera House

The 2020 Japanese Film Week is being held at the Artistic Creativity Centre until Thursday

The Japan Foundation’s Cairo office launched its 2020 Japanese Film Week on Saturday at the Artistic Creativity Centre of the Cairo Opera House, with the programme continuing until 27 February.
 
"Thank you very much for coming to the opening of our Japanese Film Week yesterday," the Japan Foundation’s Cairo office said on Sunday on social media.
 
"Don’t miss the chance to come and enjoy various kinds of Japanese Films. Attendance to all the films is free," the foundation added.
 
The Japan Foundation specialises in international cultural exchange between Japanese and other peoples through the medium of culture, with its Cairo office being the only branch of the foundation in the Middle East.
 
Japanese Film Week 2020 programme is as follows

Sunday 23 February
5:30pm: “Mori, The Artist’s Habitat”
7:30pm: “Tremble all you want” (+12)

Monday 24 February
5:30pm: “Mixed Doubles”
7:30pm: “Mori, The Artist’s Habitat”

Tuesday 25 February
5:30pm: Tremble all you want” (+12)
7:30pm: “Pop In Q”

Wednesday 26 February
5:30pm: “Pop In Q”
7:30pm: “Destiny: The Tale of Kamakura”

Thursday 27 February
5:30pm: “Mixed Doubles”
7:30pm: “A Tale of Samurai Cooking: A True Love Story”

Japan Foundation will also participate in "El Sawy Culture Wheel exhibition 2020" on Wednesday 26 February as Japanese bamboo-flute player Shakuhachi will be hosted at 7pm.
