"Do you have an artistic talent? Did you discover a hidden talent during confinement? Did art, in all its forms, help you alleviate this difficult period?" so opens an invitation to participation in Quarantine Got Talent, a short film festival organised by the Royal Film Commission Jordan.
The competition is open to all Jordanian nationals as well as artists from other Arab countries.
The short film genre can be documentary, narrative, experimental, animated, or video art, and its topic should tackle the coronavirus, presented in English or Arabic language.
The submissions should have a duration between 1 and 5 minutes with technical quality no less than 1920 x 1080 HD.
The films can be shot with a camera or a mobile phone while editing is accepted but not compulsory.
The deadline for submissions is set as Thursday 21 May at 12 pm (Jordan's local time)
The short-listed films will be posted for public voting on Sunday 24 May and the winner will be announced on Tuesday 26 May.
"The award, worth 300 Jordanian dinars, will go in the name of the winner to a social initiative in Jordan providing relief to those particularly affected by this health situation," the organisers reveal.
