Media Hub has announced an open call for short feature filmmakers to submit their ideas to the first round of the production opportunity held by the company.

Founded by Ihab Gohar and Mohamed El-Saadi in 1990, Media Hub specialises in advertisement and more recently started dabbling in film production.

The invitation extended to short feature filmmakers aims to support creative works that open new horizons in the Arab viewer's relationship with short film art.

Screenwriters and young directors can participate by submitting film scenarios and will be evaluated by a competent committee to select films that the company will produce.

Conditions of participation:

- Movie duration should not exceed 15 minutes.

- The film has never received any productive support, awards, or participated in development workshops.

- Intellectual Property Rights of the submitted works are documented.

- The participants should be Egyptian citizens and the film production should take place in Egypt.

- Only one entry per participant is allowed.

How to participate

Send an Email to [email protected] with the following:

- Full scenario in PDF format and treatment not exceeding 200 words.

- Detailed CVs of the scriptwriter and director.

Deadline to receive entries via email is 10 August 2021.

The selected films will be announced in October 2021, followed by the development, production, and presentation process of the movies according to the schedule set by Media Hub.
