The event is showcasing some new award-winning feature and documentary films as well as cinematic landmarks and classics from all over Europe. Some selected screenings of the programme will also be held at the French Institute in Alexandria.
The Main Narrative Features section includes ‘Another World’, ‘Atlantide’, ‘Californie’, ‘Compartment Number 6’, ‘Copilot’, ‘I Don’t Wanna Dance’, ‘I’m Your Man’, ‘Only Human’, ‘Onoda’, ‘Paris 13th District’, ‘The Duke’, ‘The Worst Person In The World’ and ‘Tove’.
The Emerging Directors Section includes ‘Azor’, ‘Clara Sola’, ‘Happening’, ‘Leave No Traces’, ‘Libertad’, ‘Luzzu’, ‘Magnetic Beats’, ‘Playground’, ‘Shelter’, ‘Wild Men’ and ‘Zero F***s Given’, while Documentaries includes ‘Al-lIn’, ‘Cow’, ‘For Lucio’, ‘Life of Ivanna’, ‘Magaluf Ghost Town’, ‘Silence of the Tides’, ‘Taming the garden’, ‘The Scars of Ali Boulala’ and ‘This Rain Will Never Stop’.
The Uncanny on Screen section includes ‘Earwig’, ‘Here Before’, ‘Lamb’ and ‘The Sacred Spirit’, while the Retrospective section includes; ‘A Short film about killing’, ‘The Double Life of Veronique’, ‘Three Colours: Red’ and ‘Three Colours: White’, in addition to the screening of five films as part of the Leiden Student Shorts.
Funded by the European Union in collaboration with EUNIC, the Panorama has attracted an increasing number of spectators due to the quality and uncensored nature of the films and the rich exchanges and debates with international guests since its launch in 2004.
Additionally, it offers a parallel programme that includes workshops and masterclasses with international film industry guests with the support of the European Union and some European embassies and culture institutes in Egypt.
