34 short and feature films from over 30 countries to participate in Aswan Int'l Women Film Festival‎

Twelve feature and 22 short films will participate in their respective competitions during the upcoming Aswan International Women Film Festival‎ scheduled to take place between 23 and 28 February

The films to be screened within the International Competition for Feature Films represent 17 countries.

They are as follows:

Good Mother - France
Secret Name - France
Farha - Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Sweden
Quareer - Saudi Arabia
The New Girl - Argentina
Rehana - Bangladesh, Singapore
Holy Emy - Greece, France, USA
Peacock’s Paradise - Italy, Germany
Souls in Transit (World Premiere) - Iraq, Switzerland
Lingui - Chad, France, Germany, Belgium

Headed by Romanian actress Cristina Flutur, the all-female jury for the International Competition for Feature Films includes Egyptian actress Basma, Nigerian director and producer Rahmatou Keita, German critic and programmer Ingrid Beerbaum and French actress and director Marilyne Canto.

The International Competition for Short Films sees 24 films participating from 22 countries. They are as follows:

The jury of this section is represented by Saudi writer, director and critic Hana Abdullah, German curator and culture events manager Karin Schyle alongside an Egyptian actress Shery Adel.

The Aswan International Women Film Festival (AIWFF) will take place between 23 and 28 February.
