The release date was confirmed by scriptwriter Haitham Dabbour on his Facebook page.
The post was accompanied by the film’s poster which shows Ahmed Helmy wrapped in plastic.
The film sheds light on a social worker at a prison who writes reports about the inmates’ mental state. His life takes a turn when he meets an old friend who has become a successful businessman.
The film is directed by Mohamedd Shaker Khodeir and stars Ahmed Helmy, Ruby, Sayed Ragab, Amr Abdel Gelil, Nesreen Amin, Nour Ehab and Ahmed Malek.
Helmy is one of Egypt's foremost actors with a career spanning over 20 years. He rose to stardom in 1999 for his role in Sherif Arafa's comedy Aboud Ala El-Hedoud (“Aboud on the Borders”) starring Karim Abdel Aziz.
Helmy then moved to leading roles in films such as Sahar El-Layaly (2003), Saye Bahr (2004), Zaky Chan (2005), Alf Mabrouk (2009), Bolbol Hairan (2009). He is also voice of a storyteller in the 2014 film by Amr Salama, La Moakhza (“Excuse my French”).
His most recent works include roles in films Horoob Etirari: Forced Escape (2017) and Scarecrow (2019).
The film is one of many productions that have been slated for release during the holidays.
