The film is facing a weak competition from earlier releases; Wahed Tany (“Another One”), El-Ankabout (“The Spider”) and Zombie.

Kira & El Gin stars popular actors Karim Abdel-Aziz, Ahmed Ezz, Hend Sabry, Sayed Ragab, Asma Abul-Yazeid, Ahmed Malek, Huda El-Mufti, Aly Kassem and others.

Directed by Marwan Hamed, the film is based on Ahmed Mourad best-selling novel 1919 that is based on historical events during the time of Egyptian Revolution of 1919 against the British occupation.

Produced by Synergy Film, Kira & El-Gin's music scores were composed by Hesham Nazih. The crew also includes director of photography Ahmed El-Morsy and editor Ahmed Hafez.

Many actors and filmmakers have praised Kira & El-Gin including directors Mohamed Diab, Amr Salama and others.

The four-day Islamic feast of Eid El-Adha will start in Egypt on Saturday 9 July.
