Red Sea International Film Festival announces its first slate of Saudi features

Red Sea International Film Festival (RSIFF) announced its first slate of films to be screened in its New Cinema/New Saudi segment of the festival.

The line-up revealed includes 16 features – 11 world premieres and five international premieres – to be screened during the RSIFF’s second edition scheduled to take place between 1 and 10 December in Jeddah.

The titles are as follows: Last Chance to Fall in Love directed by Faisal Buhishi, Casting by Ali Basaeed, Requiem for Silence by Majed Z. Samman, YALLAH, YALLAH, BEENAH! by Mohammed Hammad, Old Phone Number by Ali Saeed, Forgive Me by Jubril Mohammad, Othman by Khaled Zidan, Forward by Fahad Alotaibi, Tea Leaf by Mohammed Baqer, A Swing by Raneem Almohandis and Dana Almohandis, When Red Blooms by Tala Alharbi, The Child in his Closet by Khaled Zidan, Kabreet by Salma Murad, Memories from the North by Abdulmohsen Almutairi, Lucky You’re Mine by Noura Abushosha and Zabarjad by Hussain Al-Mutlaq.

New Cinema/New Saudi is among numerous segments of the Saudi festival.

According to the organisers, this year the festival will screen more than 120 films from around the world.

The event will also welcome filmmakers, talent, media and audiences to a packed program of industry and public events.
