The Gulf countries' premiere of the film will be held in Reel Cinema in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on 22 May, followed by another screening in Dubai on 24 May.

This comes ahead of the film’s release on 25 May to the general public across the Gulf.

Directed by Wael Abdallah, Youm 13 (Day 13) is the first Arab film created using 3D technology and one of the rare horror films produced in the region.

The film Youm 13 (Day 13) was released in Egypt during Eid El-Fitr (April 2023), becoming one of the most successful titles of the season, according to its production company. The production of the film began several years ago, but was beset by delays that pushed back the original 2019 release date.

The film tells the story of Ezz El-Din (Ahmed Dawood), who returns from abroad after many years to look for his family. While staying at his family's mansion, he discovers an unexpected adventure.

The film also stars Nesreen Amin, Arwa Gouda, Dina El Sherbiny and Sherif Mounir.

The film's crew includes a number of renowned names of the Egyptian film industry.

The visual effects department boasts artists such as Mostafa Abdehamed (known for El-Kahen - Man of the Cloth, 2021), Loay Ahmed Maher ( Mako, 2021, El-Badlah, 2018 and Scarecrow, 2019), alongside animator Mohamed El-Meligy (The Thief of Baghdad, 2020, Sons of Rizk, 2015 and The Cell, 2017).

The score to Youm 13 is composed by Hisham Kharma, a composer and music producer whose theme music for the opening of the COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh (2022) has attracted media attention. Among Kharma's known works are scores for TV series such as El-Nehaya (The End, 2019) and Suits (The Arabic adaptation of the US TV series) (2021) and film Mako (2021).
