Best of 48 Hour Film Beirut edition at Cimatheque this Thursday

Ahram Online, Wednesday 29 Aug 2012

The Cimatheque Alternative Film Center in downtown Cairo is holding a screening of the best ten 48 Hour Film Projects produced by aspiring filmmakers in Beirut this summer

The films to be screened on Thursday 30 August at the Cimatheque are all made by participants in a single-weekend workshop on 29 June to 1 July in Beirut.

The contest entails the complete production of a film in only 48 hours. The whole process of producing a film, from generating an idea and writing the script to shooting and editing the material, should be executed within that period.

The 48 Hour Film Project will be held in Cairo for the first time in what will be the project's 11th round, 13-15 September 2012.

Programme:

Thursday, 30 August, 9pm

Cimatheque Alternative Film Center

19a Adly Street, 5th Floor, Apt. 29, Downtown, Cairo, Egypt
