Starring Shereen Reda, Laila Eloui, and Samma Ibrahim, the highly anticipated film is set for release on 18 January.

The cast also includes Sayed Ragab, Sarah Abdel-Rahman, Mohamed Mamdouh, and Amr Wahba, among other well-known Egyptian actors.

Maksoum follows the story of a retired singer (Laila Eloui) who formed a musical band with Shereen Reda and Samaa Ibrahim back in the 1990s.

Years later, when they receive an invitation to sing together in Aswan, the three women reunite and are forced to work together on one last show. As they come together for this surprise reunion, they find themselves in a mix of challenges and comedic moments, remembering their past and rediscovering their present.

Maksoum is directed by Kawthar Younis with a screenplay scripted by Haitham Dabbour.

The song performed by Ajram, a multi-platinum singer and Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF, will be released on the same day as the film's theatrical premiere.
