Safar: A Journey Through Popular Arab Cinema in London

Safar, the biggest tribute to popular Arab film ever to be held in the UK kicks off 21 September at the Arab British Centre

The Arab British Centre, a non-political, non-religious charitable organisation that promotes arts and culture inspired by the Arab world in the UK, in partnership with the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London and Dubai International Film Festival hosts Safar: A Journey Through Popular Arab Cinema, the biggest tribute to popular Arab film ever to be held in the UK.

Curated by Egyptian-born, UK-based writer, curator and producer Omar Kholeif, Safar: Journey Through Popular Arab Cinema will play out across a week, with classic and contemporary popular Arab cinema portraying the depth of Arab culture to a London audience.
