On Wednesday, the trailer and poster for Shekko, an action-thriller directed by Karim El-Sobky and written by Wissam Sabry, were released.
The film stars Yousra, Amr Youssef, Mohamed Mamdouh, Amina Khalil, and Dina El-Sherbiny.
The film is inspired by Chuck Hogan's novel, Prince of Thieves.
The trailer shares a glimpse of a group of outlaw friends who engage in criminal and suspicious activities, which lead them to major crises.
"We are terribly stuck together. If October bridge splits, we never split," a note accompanying the trailer states.
Another film coming to screens is Fasel Men El Lahzat El Laiza (An Interlude of Nice Moments), directed by Ahmed El-Gendy, and written by Sherif Naguib and George Azmy.
The film sheds light on a couple who encounter many problems, until something happens that turns their lives upside down.
The film's poster was revealed on 23 March, presenting a cast including Hesham Maged, Hannah El-Zahed, Mohamed Tharwat, and the young actor Jan Ramez.
The poster was followed by the release of the trailer on 25 March.
Also on Wednesday, the poster and trailer were released for Aal Mashi (On the Go).
The comedy was directed by Mohamed El-Khebeiry and written by Karim Sami, Ahmed Abdelwahab, and Hadeer El-Sherif, with the latter participating in script-writing for the first time.
The stars Ali Rabie, Karim Afifi, Salah Abdallah, Aya Samaha, Mohamed Radwan, among others.
The comedy follows the story of Hadi, a lazy thirty-year-old, who experiences a significant change in his life when he is diagnosed with a rare condition that requires him to constantly move to avoid life-threatening blood clots.
Marking the end of Ramadan on 9 April, Eid Al-Fitr begins on 10 April this year.
One of the major celebrations of Muslims worldwide, Egypt – alongside other Arab countries – releases a series of new films, with cinemas attracting large crowds.
These films are expected to be released across Egyptian cinemas on 10 and 11 April.
