The auction, organized by film journalists and filmmakers Hanna Flint, Julia Jackman, Leila Latif, Sophie Monks Kaufman, and Helen Simmons, will continue until 12 April.
Donations can also be made directly to the initiative through 8 April.
By late Tuesday, the auction had already raised more than £35,328.
The funds are being raised for Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP), the UK-based charitable organization that not only provides medical services to Palestinians in the West Bank, Gaza, and Lebanon but also advocates for their rights to health and dignity.
Among the artists who donated items for the auction is the British filmmaker Jonathan Glazer, whose Holocaust film The Zone of Interest just won Best International Feature Film at this year’s Oscars.
Glazer, during his acceptance speech, spoke out against the use of Jewishness and the Holocaust by Israel to justify killing Palestinians and the dehumanization of Gaza.
Glazer donated signed posters for his films The Zone of Interest and Under the Skin. The highest bid for these items currently is £2,500, making them the second-most valuable item in the whole auction (just behind a signed Doctor Who script going for £3,000).
Other items up for auction include the commissioning a short documentary from Emirati filmmaker Amal Al-Agroobi (current top bid: £200).
The Egyptian-American comedian Ramy Youssef provided tickets to one of his stand-up comedy shows, including an afterparty with a meet-and greet-experience (current top bid: £1,000)
Bidding on a portrait session by the Oscar-nominated filmmaker and photographer Misan Harriman is also available (current top bid: £900).
In her turn, the prominent actress Tilda Swinton offers a bedtime story reading session over Zoom (current top bid: £580), while film producer Helen Simmons offers a day on set with her (current top bid: £395).
Those wishing to bid on these items, or any of the nearly 80 more, can visit the auction page at Givergy.
Donations can also be made on the same page.
