Al-Sheikh posted on his Facebook page last Wednesday a photo of him with Amr El-Feki, CEO and Managing Director of United Media Services. He wrote "A fruitful and important meeting with my dear brother, Amr El-Feki" and "important agreements that will represent a big leap."

Turki Al-Sheikh continued by saying that the Big Time Film Investment Fund has obtained all the necessary licenses, with the Saudi Capital Market Authority investing $50 million in partnership with GEA, United Films, and Saudi investors.

He also added that there were plans to hold three major concerts in Alamein under the auspices of the Riyadh Season.

The program will also include staging four major theatre plays, two in Egypt and two in Riyadh, under the auspices of the United Media Services, the Egyptian Ministry of Culture, the Saudi General Entertainment Authority, and the Riyadh Season.

More details about the upcoming concerts and plays will be revealed in the coming weeks.

The General Entertainment Authority was established by Royal Decree in 2016.

Headed by Al-Sheikh, the authority is the major organizer of all grand arts, culture, and entertainment events and regulates the entertainment industry in the Kingdom.

The authority has developed numerous links with other Arab countries, including protocols signed with Egypt earlier this year.

In February 2024, the Cairo Opera House hosted the inaugural Saudi Egyptian Nights concerts (featuring Majid Al-Muhandis, Mohamed Mounir, Sherine Abdel-Wahab and other stars), which marked the beginning of cultural cooperation between Saudi Arabian and Egyptian cultural authorities.
