Mo Ismail has just returned to Cairo from India, having shot numerous scenes in Daveed, across multiple locations in Kerala, South India.
Ismail is the only Egyptian actor to participate in Malayalam cinema, a popular South Indian industry competing with Bollywood.
This is the second time for him to participate in an Indian production.
Moving to Malayalam cinema, Ismail welcomes the new experience, saying in a press release, “Daveed is the first of its kind sports drama film in the South film industry.”
The film "sheds light on the world of fighters with action-packed revenge dramas. Each confrontation is filmed as a work of art," he added.
Ismail embodies the character of Senul Ahmedov, the rival of the film's protagonist portrayed by Antony Varghese Pepe.
The cast also includes other renowned Indian actors, such as Kichu Tellus, Jess Kukku, Lijomol Jose, Vijayaraghavan, and Saiju Kurup.
The film is expected to be released between December 2024 and January 2025.
Ismail’s portfolio already includes Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2 – Agni Pariksha, a 2022 Indian Hindi-language production. Written and directed by Faruk Kabir, the film is a sequel to Khuda Haafiz, released in 2020.
Mo Ismail, also known as Mo Muscles, is an Egyptian-born American actor, producer, entrepreneur, and sponsored athlete.
He participated in several movies, including US productions, such as War Machine (2017) starring Brad Pitt, Daniel Betts, and John Magaro.
