Strawberry Swing - music

Founded in 2016, Strawberry Swing band pays tribute to the world-famous band Coldplay, covering their songs.

By 2020, the band had been able to play over 90 Shows all over Egypt.

Strawberry Swing was founded by Abdelrahman Sherif, the band’s lead vocalist, acoustic guitarist and keyboardist.

The three other band members include Mohamed Tarek Alkhaleel on the guitar and keyboard, Patrick Khalil on drums and Guy on the bass guitar.

Abdel Halim Nowera Ensemble for Arab Music

Cairo Opera House - Main hall, Zamalek, Cairo

In memory of the Syrian-Egyptian singer Faiza Ahmed, the ensemble will perform her songs, in addition to compositions by Mohamed Abdelwahab.

Abdel Halim Nowera Ensemble for Arab Music was founded in 1967 by Maestro Abdel Halim Nowera. The Ensemble's mission is to revive the authentic musical heritage, presenting various traditional vocal and musical forms.

Conducted by maestro Ahmed Amer, the evening will feature a number of solo singers: Hossam Hosny, Rehab Motawea, Somaya Wagdy, Mostafa El-Nagdy, Mohamed Hassan, and Suzan Mamdouh.

Alexandria Opera Ensemble for Music & Arab Singing - music

Alexandria Opera House (Sayed Darwish Theatre), Alexandria

The Alexandria Opera Ensemble for Music and Arab Singing conducted by Alaa Abdelsalam will perform Arabic music repertoire.

The evening will feature several singers: Yasser Said, Mohamed El-Kholy, Walaa Tolba, Nada Ghaleb, Yasmine Ibrahim, El-Sayed Wahb Allah, Wael Aboulfetouh, and Mohamed Ibrahim.

Memo - theatre
Thursday, 5 Friday 6 September, 9pm
Grand Nile Tower, Cairo

Memo is directed by Hesham Atwa and written by Diaa Mohamed.

The play revolves around Masoud -- a  marginalized member of his community -- who decides to prove himself unconventionally.
