Following Egypt premiere, Seeking Haven for Mr. Rambo released across 6 Arab countries

Following its premiere in home country last week, the Egyptian film Seeking Haven for Mr. Rambo has been released across 100 cinemas in Morocco, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman.

The film distribution company revealed that the film will be screened in 90 cinemas across the Arab Gulf and 10 cinemas in Morocco.

Director Khaled Mansour's first feature-length narrative, Seeking Haven for Mr. Rambo, had its world premiere at the 81st Venice International Film Festival (28 August-7 September 2024), where it was screened in the official selection. This was followed by a screening at the CinemaMed Festival in Belgium, where it won both the Grand Prize and the Jury Award.

The film continued to earn recognition, securing the Jury Award at the Red Sea Film Festival and receiving a Special Mention at the 35th Carthage Film Days.

Finally, the film premiered in Egyptian cinemas on 1 January 2025.

Mohamed El-Hosseiny and Khaled Mansour co-wrote Seeking Haven for Mr. Rambo, which stars Essam Omar, Rakin Saad, Sama Ibrahim, and Ahmed Bahaa, the co-founder of the Sharmoofers band, in his debut acting role.

The drama film tells the story of Hassan (Essam Omar), a young man in his thirties who is forced to confront his past fears. He embarks on self-discovery, which includes a quest to save his dog and best friend, Rambo, from an unknown fate.

The film is produced by Mohamed Hefzy through Film Clinic and producer Rasha Hosny in her feature film production debut. It is distributed by Film Clinic Indie Distribution worldwide, Misr International Films inside Egypt, and Front Row Filmed Entertainment in the GCC countries.
