Trailer for Mostafa Shaaban Ramadan series Hakim Basha released

The producers of the highly anticipated series Hakim Basha, scheduled for release during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan, shared the trailer yesterday.

The series, set in Upper Egypt, features tensions between a group of men, including the character played by well-known actor Mostafa Shaaban, who deal in stolen artefacts.

The plot is full of suspense and action.

Hakim Basha is directed by Ahmed Khaled Amin to the scenario by Mohamed El-Shawaf.

The series features Sahar El-Sayegh, Riyad El-Kholy, Dina Fouad, Ahmad Seyam, and Mohamed Nagaty.

The production will air for 30 days during Ramadan (28 February - 29 March).

Born in Cairo in 1970, Mostafa Shaaban gained recognition for various small roles in his youth before rising to stardom in the 1990s. 

Shaaban starred in numerous films and TV series, starring in several of them. His best-known early roles are those in Ahlam Moagala (Deferred Ambitions, 2000) and Aailat Al-Hajj Metwally (The Hajj Metwaly Family, 2001).

He received the award for best actor from the Film Association for his role in Fatta Men Israel (A Girl from Israel, 1999).

More recently, he starred in a 2019 film, Casablanca (2019), alongside series such as Abu Gabal (2019), Baba Al-Majal (2023), and Al-Meallem (2024).
