Submissions are now open for the 13th edition of the Arab Film Festival Australia, with filmmakers from Arabic-speaking backgrounds across the world encouraged to contribute features, short films and documentaries.
The festival, founded in 2001, will run from 14 to 31 August in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra, with Australian audiences being treated to an exclusive showcase of Arab films that would not normally be screened in the country.
Applications are to be sent with an enclosed DVD or online link to the work. Arabic films must have English subtitles. Shorts are not to exceed 20 minutes, while features must not be longer than 110 minutes.
The submission deadline is 14 March.
