Grammy and BBC award winner Fathy Salama will return to the stage of the Cairo Opera House this Saturday, 21 February.
A dynamic artist and key player in Egypt's music scene, Salama is a regular performer at the Opera House.
He is most noted for establishing the jazz ensemble Sharkiat, belting out a fusion between jazz and oriental tunes.
With Sharkiat, Salama has been performing widely in both Egypt and abroad for more than 20 years.
Salama has also forged numerous collaborations with Arab as well as international artists, and has to date released nine albums. He has recently also ventured into electronic music with his project 'Koshari'.
