Art Alert: Cairo Symphony to celebrate Valentine's with Latin music

The Valentine's concert will include compositions by Moncayo, Gerald Garcia and Manuel de Falla

The Cairo Symphony Orchestra's Valentines celebrations will be performed in three cities, in Cairo on 13 February, in Alexandria on 14 February and in Damanhour on 15 February.
 
The concerts will be conducted by Nader Abbassi and will include two soloists: Egyptian violinist Mohamed Sharara and André Simão, a  guitarist from Brazil.
 
The evening will open with Huapango by José Pablo Moncayo.
 
The soloists will be featured in the Concierto Romantico for violin, guitar and orchestra by Gerard Garcia.
 
El amor brujo (Spell-bound Love or The Bewitched Love) from a ballet composed by Manuel de Falla will close the evenings.
