Young oud player will hold two concerts during Ramadan

Mohamed Abozekry will be performing with a group of string musicians at two locations during the month of Ramadan

Born in 1991, Mohamed Abozekry is a young Egyptian musician and oud player. Student of Naseer Shamma, Abozekry's talent has been noticed in Egypt and the Middle East. He performs many known compositions and composes his own works for the instrument.

The concert will consist of two parts: in the first Abozekry will perform a solo and in the second with a group of musicians.

Oud players participating in the concert: Youssef Darwich, Ghilan Abdu Latif, Sherif Mazen, Tarek El-Azhary, Sherif Sobhy, Nabil Fady and Amir Merzek.

On saz (a stringed instrument, with origins in Turkish folk music) Abdallah Abozekry and Ouwaisse Abdulrahman with Farid on req (a type of tambourine) and Amar Sayed on bass.
