Omar Khairat is an Egyptian composer, pianist, whose original compositions -- bridging contemporary Arab music with Western tunes -- has brought him a large following in Egypt and the region. His performs his music around the region with Omar Khairat's Group, which he formed.

He has recorded a number of CDs and won several local and international prizes as well as composing the score for several movies.

Khairat's upcoming concert will ake place on Thursday 8 September at the Sound and Light Theatre, at the Giza Pyramids. The concert begins at 8pm. Tickets prices vary between LE75 and LE500.

Also during the month of September, Khairat will perform at the Cairo Opera House on Monday 19 September at 8pm.
