The Egyptian Beatles tribute band Glass Onion will hold a concert on Tuesday, 19 July at the Cairo Opera House.

Glass Onion was founded in 2010 by four independent musicians and singers who bring the Beatles' hits to Cairo and Alexandria audiences, across many venues. One of their most recent concerts took place in the first days of July at Madaar cultural space in Cairo's Maadi.

In their promotional material, the band promises to take the listeners on a "Fab Four Journey from the early days of Love Me Do to the psychedelic era of Strawberry Fields Forever and the later days of Let It Be."

The band's line-up consists of guitarists Kareem Ghalid and Hany Mustafa, bassist Amir Shawky and drummer Magued Nagati.

Ghalid is also behind kArkAdAn while Mustafa (HanyMust) performs solo, and fronts the band Egoz.

Their performance in Cairo Opera's open air theatre is part of the opera's summer festival activities.

Programme:
Tuesday 19 July at 8pm
Cairo Opera House, open air theatre, Zamalek, Cairo
