El Sakia's String Orchestra will perform P. I. Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker suite and J. Strauss' The Blue Danube, with soprano Dina Iskander and tenor Ragaa El-Din Ahmed.
El Sakia String Orchestra was formed at the end of the summer of 2010 and gave its inaugural concert on 19 October 2010. The string orchestra has since given a monthly concert presenting its chamber repertoire. Operating under the umbrella of El Sawy Culturewheel, the orchestra is the only classical music ensemble trying to reach the young audience interested in events taking place in this dynamic cultural institution.
The concert is on Tuesday 20 December, 8 pm, at El Sawy Culturewheel, Wisdom Hall
