Cairo Opera House declares three days of mourning

Opera house will close its doors until Sunday following the deaths of over 70 football fans in Port Said on Wednesday night

Cairo Opera House has announced three days of mourning for the more than 70 football fans who were killed in Egypt's worst-ever football disaster during Wednesday’s Premier League match between Ahly and Masry in Port Said.

The opera house has suspended all its activities across all venues for the next three days, from Thursday until Saturday. It will reopen on Sunday.
