Egyptian rising talent Hana Afifi is gearing up for her "Ella Fitzgerald Tribute Night" on Friday, 10 January, at Room Art Space in Garden City.
The member of Fabrica Musical Theatre Company, founded by Neveen Allouba, will present jazz standards in the style of Fitzgerald, including Round Midnight, My Funny Valentine and Dream a Little Dream of Me.
Originally a journalist, Hana released her first single, Habet Wagaa, in October 2018 and has a number of tracks in-the-making.
She will be accompanied by Mina Samy (keyboards), Ali Farouk (bass guitar), Amr Abd-El Fattah (drums) and César Boishus (saxophone).
