Well-known Egyptian bassist Samer George will release a new album on Thursday 20 February, and will give a concert at Room Art Space on the same date.

 

Produced by Darryl John Kennedy, George’s 2020 album, which will be available in stores and on audio platforms, consists of his jazz compositions and features many skilled guest musicians.

 

George, who is a music instructor at the American University in Cairo and the British International School in Cairo, has played and recorded bass with many Egyptian bands and singers including Eftekasat, Nagham Masry, The Riff Band, Cairo Big Band Society and Nouran Abou Taleb.
