The Rami Attallah Acoustic Trio is gearing up to introduce another Jazz night at Room Art Space, Garden City branch on Saturday 7 March.
The trio will be playing some original compositions by Attallah as well as adding their special flavour to a number of well-known jazz standards.
The group consists of three jazz musician friends; the Egyptian Attallah on the piano, the Lebanese Andre Segone on bass and Amir Attallah on drums. The trio promises a night to remember.
One of the most active young jazz pianists in Egypt, Attallah is confidently making his way in a professional career after studying jazz and contemporary music in Paris.
Attallah, whose first album ‘Shokran JAZZilan’ was released in 2014, quickly proved his composing and arranging skills with over 50 songs. He has been part of many independent jazz bands including Riff Band Jazz Group, the Los Compadres Latin Jazz Group, Lena Chamamyan, Macadi Nahhas, Ahmed Nazmi Quartet and Furat Qaddouri Music Group.
His second album ‘A Conversation’ with the Egyptian singer Noha Fekry was released in June 2015.
Segone, a bass and upright player, has performed and recorded with many great artists both in the region and internationally, with names like Fathy Salama, Ziad Rahbani, Tania Saleh, Ghalia Benali, Youssou N’Dour, Salif Keita, Angélique Kidjo, Charles Davis, and Arthur Satyan.
