Young singers from Egypt's many cities named winners of Golden Voice competition

The winners include youth from Cairo, Alexandria, Port Said, Minya, Luxor and numerous other cities

Golden Voice
With the closing of the 5th edition of the Golden Voice competition, Egypt's Minister of Culture Ines Abdel Dayem distributed awards to the winners during an official ceremony that took place last week.
 
The prizes were given to young people from many cities across Egypt.
 
The winners are as follows:
 
1st prize: Mohamed Ahmed Ahmed from Port Said 
 
2nd prize: Asmaa Abdo Ahmed from Dakhaleya
 
3rd prize: Mohamed Ali Sabry from Minya
 
4th prize: Karim Haraji Ahmed from Luxor
 
5th prize: Rahma Dhahi Abou Al-Hamad from Qalyubia
 
6th prize: Mohamed Tarek Mostafa from Alexandria
 
7th prize: Islam Mohamed Farouk from Assiut
 
8th prize: Abdallah Mohamed Labib from Cairo
 
9th prize: Mazen Helmy al-Sayed from Giza
 
10th prize: Farah El-Sayed Amr from Alexandria
 
The first 10 winners are offered a scholarship to study at the House of Arab Singing.
 
In addition, the jury conferred special recognition certificates to Ibrahim Mohamed Ismail (North Sinai), Dina Saher Lotfi (Giza), Ahmed Subhi Ahmed (Beheira), Mustafa Hanafi Salah (Alexandria) and Ahmed Mohamed Saad (Giza).
 
Over 120 young people reached the finals of this year's edition of Golden Voice, which held its first round in February, followed by a second round held online.
 
Organised by the Cultural Development Fund, a body operating under the Ministry of Culture, the competition welcomes participants aged between 18 and 30.
 
The annual Golden Voice competition was launched by renowned singer Mohsen Farouk (1961-2017).
