Well-known Egyptian actress Lekaa El-Khamisy is exploring another step in her singing adventure with a concert at Zamalek's El-Sawy Culture Wheel on 11 February.
Accompanied by conductor Yusuf Abbass, El-Khamisy, the star of tens of successful films, TV shows, and theatre plays, will sing a selection of her few originals as well as some covers.
"A performer should be talented in other skills rather than just acting, like singing and dancing. This is basic! I sing correctly and I love singing, playing instruments too," El-Khamisy, 42, stated in a video on social media on Monday, reacting to comments about her singing plans.
Most known for the lead role in multiple seasons of the ‘Ragel W' Sit Settat’ TV hit series, El-Khamisy played the narrator in the first long Arab animation film 'The Knight & The Princess' as well as singing its theme song titled ‘Mafish Mostaheel’.
Amid the second wave of COVID-19, Egypt is cautiously holding cultural and entertainment events amid strict safety measures.
