Egyptian harpist Mona Wassef and her ensemble are gearing up for a concert titled 'A Harp in Tour' at the Cairo Opera House on Thursday 25 February.
With Mohamed Mohiee (violin), Mohamed Ahmed (cello), Karim Wassef (double bass) and Mohamed Arafa (percussions), the concert will also feature Michel Onsi (oud) and Toqa El-Hagrasy (qanun).
Together they will perform a rich repertoire touring around the world with a selection of classic, Arabic, Spanish, flamenco, Disney and jazz music.
Mona Wassef teaches harp at the Cairo Conservatory and has been a member of the Cairo Symphony Orchestra since 1998.
All public activities in Egypt are restricted with obligatory face-masks and sanitizing as well as social distancing following the global safety standards against COVID-19.
