Egyptian singer Nessma Mahgoub released her music video ‘Kefaya’ (Enough) on Sunday, which is the second song from her five-track EP ‘Arouma’.

The lyrics to the song are by Amir Hedayah, who was also in charge of the music production and mixing.

Released through The Music Hub, Egypt’s independent record label for indie music, the song comes a few days after the release of ‘Kol Shams Wi Liha Del’ (Every Sun has a Shadow) on 24 February. Kol Shams Wi Liha Del is composed by Sary Hany, with lyrics by Adel El-Esh.

Three more tracks from Arouma will be released consecutively.

The EP, Arouma, is licenced to Nile Radio Productions.

Mahgoub is a well-known Egyptian singer who came into the limelight after winning the eighth season of Star Academy Arab World in 2011.

She started singing at the age of 10 when she joined the children’s choir at the Cairo Opera House.

She studied music at school before embarking on studies with soprano Neveen Allouba.

Mahgoub has the very rare skill of singing to Oriental, Western, and operatic tunes with equal excellence.

She participated in the German Competition “Jugend Musiziert” four times, winning the first prize in 2009 in Musical Theatre and the first prize in 2010 in Pop Singing.

She released her first album “Hat Olly Eh” in 2012.

Mahgoub also works as a professional singer at MusicaPro Production House, teaching assistant of John Baboukis — the AUC Chair of Centre for the Arts — and a voice teacher at MUST Opera House and at Fabrica Musical Theatre company, which is headed by Allouba.
