The Bibliotheca Alexandrina Orchestra, under the baton of Nayer Nagui, will give a concert on Saturday 13 March at the BA Arts Centre.
Under the theme ‘Romantic Night’, the evening will focus on the works of composers from the romantic era, featuring the well-known Paris based Egyptian soprano Amira Selim in one of her regular appearances in Egypt.
The programme includes Schubert’s Symphony no.5, Glière’s Concerto for Coloratura Soprano, and Brahms’s Serenade no. 2 for Orchestra.
“The most challenging concerto for soprano coloratura by Russian composer Gliere is coming to town, along with Schubert’s Symphony, and Brahms Serenade for Orchestra,” stated Amira Selim on social media on Sunday, urging fans to attend.
Online tickets are available, while purchased tickets are to be collected from the BA tickets office.
