Latin American Night at the Cairo Opera House

On Saturday 12 May, the Cairo Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Nayer Nagui, will perform works with a Latin American spirit

Latin American Night, Cairo Symphony Orchestra, soloist Inas Abdel Dayem, conductor Nayer Nagui. Al Gomhoria Theatre, November 2009.

The evening will offer a number of compositions from the Latin American music repertoire.

The full programme of the evening includes Gershwin's Cuban Overture, Piazzolla's L’histoire Du Tango for flute and orchestra, Marquez's Danzon No.2, Ernesto Lecuona's Malagueña, Jacob Gade's Tango-Jalousie and Darius Milhaud's Le bœuf sur le toit.

The soloist of the evening is Ines Abdel Dayem.

The Latin American thematic axis is a style that keeps being revisited and has proven to be among the major delights for the Cairo's audiences.
