Renowned Egyptian musician Omar Khairat to perform in Saudi Arabia's AlUla Moments festival

Renowned Egyptian musician Omar Khairat, accompanied by an orchestra conducted by Nayer Nagui, will take the stage of AlUla in Saudi Arabia this month.

The concert is part of AlUla Moments, a three-month event consisting of four festivals filling the Saudi Arabia's AlUla region with music, heritage, culinary events, among other attractions.

In January, the music segment of AlUla features one performer on every Friday. The AlUla Moments already held a concert by Saudi singer Abdulrahman Mohamed on 7 January.

Khairat’s concert will take place on 14 January. This will be followed by Andrea Bocelli on 21 January and Majida El Roumi on 28 January.

One of the most popular composers in the region, Khairat has composed the scores for over 50 Egyptian films, including The Sixth Day (1984), The Terrorist (1993), Mafia (2002), Girl's Love (2003), The Embassy in the Building (2005) and Deer's Blood (2006). In television, his memorable works include Lailat El-Qabd Ala Fatma (1984) and Dameer Abla Hekmat (1991).

In his performances, he features his best known works to the audiences filling the concert halls to the brim.

AlUla Moments brings together activities in four segments: Winter at Tantora, AlUla Skies, AlUla Arts and AlUla’s Wellness Festival. The most popular and the oldest segment, Winter at Tantora runs from 21 December 2021 to 12 February 2022.  The AlUla Arts festival begins on 13 February and continues until end of March. Winter at Tantoura and AlUla Arts are paralleled by AlUla Skies and AlUla Wellness.
