Lebanese Elissa and Moroccan Saad Lamjarred in their latest hit duet Min Awel Dekika
Since its release on 4 May during the Muslim’s feast of Eid El-Fitr, Min Awel Dekika has been at the top of the charts of music platforms like Anghami, Deezer, and YouTube in several Arab and foreign countries, including Egypt.
Min Awel Dekika was written in Egyptian dialect by Egyptian first-row pop makers lyricist Amir Teima, composer Ramy Gamal, and producer Ahmed Ibrahim.
“From the first minute, to your love, my heart bent. I knew a hundred ways [how] to change from one condition to another. [With you] I feel lost between the fact, o’ my life, and the fiction,” sings the two stars in the chorus of the expressive hit, which features a slow-dance arrangement.
Over 14 million viewers have watched the clip in just five days on YouTube alone, where it was released on Elissa’s channel, which has four million subscribers.
Many celebrities have praised Min Awel Dekika and congratulated the singers for its success, including Egyptian superstar Sherihan, who was keen to comment “You are life. I love you.”
