Mohamed Mounir, dubbed "King," gave a big concert in view of the sea on the North Coast Thursday, singing some of his evergreen Nubian-flavoured pop hits.
Mounir, 67, opened his repertoire with Ya Arouset El-Neel before singing some of his memorized songs like Hila, El-Leila Ya Samra, Shabaeek, Lamma Al-Naseem, Ashky Le-Mein, Ally Soutak, Younis and Alemouny Eineeky, entertaining the audience for almost two hours.
Amid lots of requests from the crowd, Mounir performed his latest hit Lelly, written by Akram Hosny. The song is becoming among the top listened-to songs this summer across all music platforms, despite an earlier copyright claim that was settled.
Mounir performed a big remarkable concert in Alexandria in July ending years of absence from the coastal city.
On Friday at the same venue, Tunisian star singer Saber Rebaï performed a full-house concert, expressing his joy to be in Egypt.
The 55-year-old renowned star sung some of his original hits like Ya Assal, Mothallath El-Hob, Al-Tayer, Omry Al-Jadeed, Athada El-Aalam, Ezet Nafsi, Khalas Tarak and Ez El-Habayeb, among other hits.
Saber Rebaï also performed famous covers like Alli Gara, Kadouka El Mayas and a medley of Zekra’s hits, as well as his adaptation for the Tunisian folk tune Sidi Mansour that brought him fame in the early 2000s.
Lebanese star Ragheb Alama rocked Thursday night at Notch beach in New Alamein with many celebrities attending including singer and composer Hossab Habib.
In the full-house open air arena, Alama, 60, performed some of his all-time and latest pop hits like Nasini El-Donya, Ma Bahazarsh, Sineen Rayha, Momken Azaalak and Taalili, Elly Baana, Istimara 6, among other songs with the crowd singing along and dancing.
Egyptian star Mohamed Ramadan gave two concerts this weekend; in North Coast’s Silver Sands Beach on Thursday and in New Alamein’s North Square Mall on Friday.
Spectators showed their enthusiasm by singing along with the 34-year-old entertainer to his rap-mahraganat hits like Balalein, Number One, Ala Allah, Taaleily, Mafia, Tanteet, Zilzal, Bum Bum and others including his latest currently-trending release Boss.
Other pop stars that performed on the North Coast this weekend are Lebanese Wael Kfoury, Egyptian Ahmed Saad, Mohamed Nour and Disco Masr band, Mostafa 3enba among others.
The North Coast is witnessing a boom in music concerts this season, with most of the biggest pop stars performing; including Amr Diab, Kadim Al Sahir, Tamer Hosni, Hamaki and many others.
